Thank you for linking Kapiticonernedcitizens.org.nz to my personal website so that your 12 web followers can see the outcome of my wife and my very hard work over the last ten years. My wife and I are very proud of our efforts and consider it just shows what can happen when you take a positive outlook to life. However it would have been nice if your organization had asked my approval to link our websites, but somehow being nice and polite does not fit with your organizations culture with regards to anything to do with Councillors or KCDC.
Therefore it is time for some facts that your readers need to understand.
This environment has not come to us free, but has incurred expenditure of many tens of thousands of dollars over this period of time. For instance the establishment of the water system for the golf course cost $20,000.00 back in 2002 and has operating costs of approximately $1,000.00 per annum. The water system is fed by shallow sand bores which is very hard on the equipment used and this year I have to replace my large pump at a cost of $1,000.00. This is actual expenditure and does not take into account the many hours of effort that goes into making our property the paradise that all New Zealanders can achieve if you work hard for it.
So your comments about my water use being free is untrue and instead of criticizing me, you should be congratulating me for not using KCDC's potable water supply.
